Description: Celebrating the presence of Loreto along the length and breadth of the country on the eve of India's 69th Republic Day through a cultural programme, the students of class 4 A and B shared valuable and interesting details of their native states.
The children put in a lot of effort in representing their states by not only wearing their traditional attire, but also speaking and singing in their native languages. They enjoyed dancing to foot tapping folk songs which brought much excitement and joy to the audience.
The highlight of the activity was the sharing of traditional food among each other during the recess. Each child had a taste of almost every kind of cuisine found in India..from Bengal's Rosogulla to Idlis, from Sarson ka Saag to momos, the children thoroughly enjoyed the feast among themselves.
The activity left the students with a great sense of pride and satisfaction being not only an Indian but also a Loreto student. The activity brought about the awareness and appreciation of the numerous Loreto schools all over India.
The programme culminated with the children joining hands together and singing heart rendering patriotic songs.
