Description: On 3 February ,2020 the students of Class 7B along with their Class Teacher, Mrs. Alice D’Lima went for their Outreach Programme to Jivodaya Ashralayam (Home for the Abandoned Ladies), run by the Sisters of the Destitute,Vikas Nagar.
The Sisters in charge extended a warm welcome to the students .One of the community members welcomed the students and gave a brief history of the place and the work done by the Sisters.
The students put up a short programme for the inmates of the home which comprised of a prayer service followed by a medley of song ,a short skit and a dance.They also carried some items that would be of use for the ladies.
The students were shown some simple yoga exercises to keep fit and one of the ladies also presented a solo dance .After the students had spent time interacting with the ladies they then thanked the Sisters and the inmates and proceeded on their journey back to school.
It was an enriching experience for the students, some students have also decided to visit the home again with their parents.
