Description: On !9 th February 2020, the students of class 5A,B&C accompanied by their class teachers had the wonderful
opportunity to visit the Parliament House. The students were taken for a “show around” of the Lok Sabha, Rajya
Sabha and Central Hall.
Once seated in the public gallery of the Lok Sabha, the students learned about how the proceedings of the Lok
Sabha and Rajya Sabha take place. They were also informed about the forthcoming budget session that will take
place in March.
During the educational trip the students’ attention was drawn towards several interesting facts such as the
strikingly realistic portraits of the eminent freedom fighters I the central Hall, the seating arrangements according
to designation in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, the voting system used in the two Houses and the beautifully
engraved insignia in the Lok Sabha.
The students thoroughly enjoyed their trip which undoubtedly brought history to life and enhanced their learning
about our Government.
