Description: The staff and students of Loreto Convent School, Delhi had organised a special assembly in the Mary Ward Auditorium on the 28th of February, to bid farewell to our very special teacher Mrs Mandira Ghoshal, who has been the school’s Hindi music teacher for the last 24 years teaching the students of Junior and Middle School.
The event featured musical renditions and tributes from students, who expressed appreciation to Mrs Ghoshal for the indelible impact that she has made in their lives. The programme began with a welcome dance by the students of class 0ne, followed by a Bengali song that showcased the different 'Surs' of the Hindi 'Sargam' which was thoroughly enjoyed by one and all. The students of classes 4 and 5 then led us all in prayer through a solemn prayer service invoking God's blessings on their dear teacher. Students from junior, middle and senior schools then shared their beautiful memories of being a part of Mrs Ghoshal's music classes. The choir then sang a medley of songs taught by Mrs Ghoshal and which will remain edged in the hearts of all students forever. Mrs Ghoshal and the audience were in for a surprise when towards the end the preppies took over the stage with their foot tapping performance on the famous number ' Saarye Ke Sarrey Gama ko lekar Gaatey chaley" .Our Principal Sister Archana Felicitated Mrs Ghoshal by presenting her with the school memento and the whole auditorium reverberated with the 'Happy Birthday' song wishing Mrs Ghoshal birthday greetings and the very best for the next phase of her life.
