Description: With hearts filled with gratitude and love, the staff and students bid farewell to
Sr. Monica Rozario, the principal of the school. A farewell prayer service was
organized on 21 march 2023 in the Mary Ward auditorium at 8.30 am.
Sr. Monica was welcomed to the auditorium with the students and teachers.
The prayer service started with the hymn ‘Here I am the Lord’ to invoke the
blessings of the Lord followed by the lighting of the lamp as the children sang
the song “Anondoloke”. The prayer service ended with a blessing song.
The students from the junior, middle, and senior schools presented potted plants
and cards to Sister as a token of appreciation. The vice head girl Angela
Domingo shared her experience with Sister and thanked Sr. Monica for
bringing many changes in the school infrastructure including the basketball and
badminton court. The middle school children presented a song to bring alive
the memories of the past with Sr. Monica while showing a ppt on the screen.
The senior school coordinator Ms. Risa Joseph spoke on behalf of all teaching
and non-teaching staff to thank Sr. Monica. She remembered sister’s thought
provoking messages in the assembly, her strong support and encouragement
received during the online sessions, the sessions and seminars conducted for
students and parents, the Inter Loreto Sci-matics quiz which happened only
because of her vision, among many others. The students of class XI presented a
beautiful dance performance to express their gratitude.
Sister Monica addressed the gathering with her inspirational words .She
remembered that she is called by God for her Vocation and the call is so special
that she was inspired by Mother Mary Ward who thought about the girl
children. She cherished her experiences with her parents and family members
especially with her mother. She reminded everyone to be kind to each other
and thanked all sisters, teachers, students and all 3 coordinators. As token of
love and gratitude, teachers presented gifts and cards.
Sr. Prabhina addressed the gathering, appreciated the way Sr. Monica worked
and wished her all the best for her new endeavor. At the end all teachers sang
a song for Sr. Monica.
Sister remembered the outgoing batch of class XII who have presented a new
lamp to the school which was inaugurated by Sister the same day.
All staff members gathered in the open hall at 12 noon and the meeting
started with a short prayer by Sr. Monica and hymn sang by sisters and
teachers. After that everyone enjoyed the lunch. Sister expressed her heart felt
gratitude for the constant support of the staff and students in the smooth
conduct of the school.
