Description: On the 24th of October 2017 the students of Junior school held a special assembly in honour of our founder Mother Agnes Walsh. With the help of a short skit the students retraced Mother Walsh’s journey as she set out to achieve her goal of starting our school Loreto Convent Delhi. Using appropriate props the students depicted how the school infrastructure transitioned from tents to the present school building. Through a lively dance the students showed how Mother Walsh motivated the teachers and students as they worked to set up the school.The assembly concluded with a graceful dance put up by the students to thank Mother Walsh for being a source of inspiration to us all.The principal Sr. Archana then addressed the gathering. She appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers. She also shared with us some of Mother Walsh’s qualities in particular her cheerful attitude when doing God’s will which is the motto of Walsh house ‘Cheerful endeavour spells success’.
As a part of the Walsh house celebrations the following activities were conducted by the junior school.
Prep : Colouring of an apple
Class 1 : Colouring ( A red fort),speak a few lineson ‘People who help us’
Class 2: Making a card for each other and speaking about it
Class 3: Making paper flowers
Class 4: Making an envelope and printing it
