Description: On the 23rd of September 2017, the students of class 3A and 3B, staged a play ‘Lost and Found’, as a part of the Parents’ day programme in the Mary Ward auditorium. The parents of the students turned out in large numbers to support and applaud the children through out their performance.
The event began with the Junior school coordinator, Mrs Meenu Kadian welcoming the parents. She also introduced them to the principal, Sister Archana. This was followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp. The stage was then set for the enthusiastic students to take over.
The parents were warmly welcomed by a student followed by a brief introduction to the play. The play then commenced. It told the story of a disobedient sheep who liked to break the rules and eventually got lost. He learns the hard way that his shepherd would go to any lengths to bring him back to the flock.
Through the play, the students tried to convey the message that we too have a shepherd in our lives called the Almighty and should we go astray, He will bring us back to the path intended for us. The excellent performance by the students was supported by well choreographed, spirited dances and a melodious choir.
The programme was appreciated as was reflectedin the vote of thanks given by a parent, Mrs Priyanjali Singh. She praised the performance of the students and appreciated the auditorium as a platform to showcase the talent of the students.
The principal, Sr. Archana then addressed the gathering. She lauded the efforts of the students and the teachers. She re-iterated the message of the play and pointed out that we often get lost in our work or the challenges in our life but the Almighty is always there to bring us back on track. The programme concluded with the students proudly singing the Loreto chorus. In the end, the programme turned out to be a blend of delightful performances, visual treats and rhythmic dances, making it truly memorable.
