Description: On the occasion of International Labour Day, the LTS club organized the celebrations of SUPPORT STAFF DAY on 01 May, 2018 in honour of the service of all the members of the domestic staff at Loreto Convent School, Delhi. The members of the domestic staff entered the auditorium in a procession led by Sr. Antoinette and the coordinators. The celebrations started on a solemn note with a meaningful prayer service in Hindi. The junior school presented a dance, followed by a street play on the importance of cleanliness. The Music Society too presented a medley of popular Hindi numbers. This was followed by presentation of cards made by the students. Games such as musical chairs, lemon and spoon race and balloon race were conducted by the students. This was appreciated by all the students and staff gathered. Thereafter, a message by Sr. Antoinette was translated into Hindi and read out by the LTS animator, Mrs. Sood, focusing on the need to appreciate the service of the support staff, and that they are the foundation of this institution. They are a part of the Loreto family and that we would be incomplete without them. The final vote of thanks was given by Mr. Lawrence who thanked the students and the staff of Loreto for organizing the event and urged the students to study well. Followed by this, refreshments were served in the Activity Hall where a movie, Hindi Medium’ was shown.
