Description: A farewell assembly was conducted for the outgoing batch of 2018-19 on 01 February 2019 by the students and teachers of Class XI. The theme of ‘Train of Life’ was reinforced with a powerpoint presentation that poignantly captured the time spent by the students at school and how they were now on their way to new destinations. The Head girl and two student representatives eachfrom all three streams of the outgoing batch shared their memories of the time spent at school. The members of the music society from class XII also put up an impressive performance comprising of a medley of songs in a final adieu to their alma mater.
This event was followed by a prize ceremony with the various trophies awarded for the Best House, the Green Warriors trophy, the Best Class Board for Senior and middle school. Sr. Archana, in her address to the students, encouraged them to uphold the values imbibed at Loreto under all circumstances as they step out into the world.
The students of class XI and XII reassembled for the Candle Light Ceremony in the Mary Ward Auditorium. Sr. Antoinette, Sr. Archana and the faculty members conducted a prayer assembly and acquainted them with essential values enumerated in the scriptures which would hold them in good stead for the rest of their lives.
Taking forward the theme of the train journey, the students of Class XII were bid adieu in a Farewell Socialon 2 February by the students of Class XI.. The school quadrangle bore a festive look decorated with photo booths, balloons and the banner that proclaimed ‘Hasta La Vista’ , Spanish for ‘ Goodbye’. A cake cutting ceremony by Sr. Archana, the Head Girl, Sports Captain and the House Captains set the ball rolling on the celebrations. The young ladies elegantly draped in their vibrant multi-hued sarees were taken down the nostalgic memory lane with enactments depicting their school days. The band and dance performances and the games and questions on the fun trivia about the school kept the audience thoroughly engaged. The sumptuous lunch was the perfect finale to a great celebration.
