Description: On the 14th of May 2019 the students of Junior school held a special assembly in honour of one of our founders Mother Teresa Ball. With the help of a short skit the students retraced Mother Ball’s journey which began in the beautiful country of Ireland and moved to the shores of India as she set out to achieve her goal of spreading education throughout the world. The play brought out Mother Teresa Ball’s vision, determination and personal qualities which ultimately led her to successfully achieve her goals. The children were reminded of the inspiring house motto ‘ Reach for the stars’ The students then put up a graceful and meaningful dance to thank Mother Ball for being a source of inspiration to us all. The assembly concluded with a solemn prayer service, thanking God for the gift of Mother Teresa Ball and asking for God’s blessings on the principal, staff, students and their families. The assembly was enlivened by the melodious choir. The principal Sister Monica then addressed the gathering. She appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers. She shared with us some of Mother Ball’s qualities in particular her quality of hard work and asked the students to focus on the house motto of ‘Reach for the stars’ in all aspects of their lives’.
