Description: The Primary teachers of our school participated in an enriching session on 'TTC Play way methods for teaching Junior classes' by Ms. Laeticia Gomes on 24th February, 2020 in our school's activity hall.
Ms Gomes herself is a past pupil of Loreto School, kolkata and is a pioneer in the field of using play way method to teach the primary classes, she is currently based in Ireland heading the primary wing in an Irish school.
The session focused on the activity based methods and a play way approach to teaching and learning in the Junior school, with stress being laid on learning by playing and interacting, also activities based learning ensuring that all students are actively involved in the learning process. The workshop provided a platform for interactive learning with hands on planning different activities for teaching different subjects taught by the primary teachers who are also mother teachers. The teachers found the workshop very informative, fruitful and productive as they were able to relate to the session while a lot of creative ideas were put forth by all the participants through a micro teaching session. Our Principal Sr. Monica thanked Ms Gomes and also appreciated and motivated the Primary teachers who participated in this workshop with full zeal and enthusiasm.
