Description: Loreto Convent School, Delhi celebrated Ball House Week in honour of Mother Teresa Ball, the foundress of Loreto Institutions in Ireland and across many countries. The celebrations started with a Special Assembly conducted by the students and teachers of Ball House on 14 July 2022. The following competitions were conducted for the respective classes. ecitation (Eng) VI Recitation (Hindi) VI Tableau Vivant VII Singing (Solo) VIII Classical Dance IX English Declamation IX Debate X Quiz XII The aim of the competitions was to enhance aesthetic sensibility. The recitation, debate, and declamation enabled the students to improve their skills in diction in an articulate and intelligible manner. The Tableau Vivant a theatrical representation of stillness, aimed to capture the significant events in history, art, and literature, thereby making the students look beyond the textbooks. Ball House intends to set ablaze a fervor for the performing arts too, with competitions in vocal music and classical dance. The quiz for the senior class was with the aim to prepare for the unexpected and familiarise the students with formats of competitions and competitive exams for their future. The efforts were appreciated by all. The results of all the competitions were announced on 20 July 2022.
