Description: Loreto Convent School, Delhi had the proud privilege to host ‘Urja-2016’ from 16-18 sep 2016.
The JPIC national general meeting was attended by staff and student delegates of 14 Loreto Schools across the country.
Provincial Leader of South East Asia, Sr. Anita Braganza and JPIC first counselor and link person,
Sr. Sabrina presided over this forum.
The event comprised of extensive panel discussion by experts and presentations by the guests schools.
Ms. Sunita Narain, passed pupil of Loreto Convent Delhi, and National Award Winner was the chief guest for the occasion.
A panel of esteemed environment experts shared their views with the delegates on control of climate change and its impact, encouraging them to become green crusaders for the future.
The event culminated with all Loreto institutions committing themselves to achieve Two Actionable Goals by the year 2020:
1. Planting one lakh trees
2. Making our schools carbon neutral
