Description: We at Loreto Convent School, Delhi Cantt. have always aspired to instil in our students a consciousness towards their
social responsibility as global citizens of today. The Tree Plantation Drive organized under the aegis of Delhi Area
from 24-26 July 2019 , in collaboration with the NGO, Sustainable Green Initiative (SGI) proved to be a step in this
direction.
It was really heartening to see 719 students from classes VII to XII participated enthusiastically under the supervision
of army and SGI . 1100 saplings were planted across various locations of Delhi Cantt like Kabul lines, 20 Punjab
Regt. and DG MAP Accommodations at Naraina, Delhi.
I write to put on record our heartfelt gratitude to our Principal, Sr.Monica Rozario and GOC Delhi Area Gen Mistry
for their intervention and assistance in providing us with the opportunity and resources for the fruition of this long
cherished dream.
